William Pyne (c1580-1636) married Mary (d.1640) of Woodbury, near Exeter, Devonshire

James Pyne was baptized 4 Jun 1608 in Woodbury, Devonshire. He married in Sep 1630 at St Mary Magdalen's Taunton, Somersetshire, Edith Williams. They immigrated in 1640, and were in Stamford, Connecticut, in 1641, and moved to Hempstead, Long Island, about 1644.  He died after 1657, but before 1683.  (Another claim is that he was born 1596, son of Thomas Pyne (1565-1589) and Barbary Hommes of Woolsthorpe near Grantham, Lincolnshire, but I have seen no documentation.)
