Isaac Liptrap (1752-1818) married on July 29, 1785, in Augusta County, Virginia, to Mary Bright (1763 -after 1850, daughter of George Adam Bright. Their sixth child, and fourth son was:

George B Liptrap (2 Aug 1800-4 May 1863) married 25 Jul 1822 Catharine Linkswiler (3 Apr 1801-13 Aug 1838, daughter of Adam and Margaret Linkswiler, moved by 1824 to Preble County, Ohio, where his sister Sarah Cox lived, then by 1830 to Pickaway County, Ohio, then about 1835 to Tippecanoe County, Indiana. George married 22 Dec 1839 Elizabeth, widow Hoover (24 Apr 1806-Sep 1849, and bought a farm south of Boswell, Benton County, Indiana, in January 1849. George married 6 Jan 1850 Susan Jane Rodefer, widow Hoddy, widow Cleaver (1810-after 1867). She remarried James Darnell and moved to Wayne County, Illinois. His second child and first son with Elizabeth; and eldest surviving son, was:

George B Liptrap (15 Dec 1843-16 May 1909) enlisted 16 Dec 1861 in Company D of the 60th Indiana Regiment and served in the Mississippi Valley Campaign battles of Vicksburg and Jackson, then various campaigns and stations in Louisiana, returning to Indianapolis in March, 1865. He married 6 Sep 1868 Angeline Hickman (3 Dec 1848 - 22 Feb 1923) daughter of John and Mariah Kochel Hickman. They lived in Warren County, Indiana, and moved to a farm in Benton County, three miles south of Boswell, on County Line Road, including land in both Benton and Warren Counties. They moved to Boswell in 1902. On 3 Jul 1912, Angeline married William Porter Boone (2 May 1853-16 Feb 1927) and lived in Boswell..
