Johann Wilhelm Fuchs was born 4 Aug 1680 in Werschweiler, and died 12 Mar 1733 in Dörrenbach, He married 18 Apr 1702 Anna Eva Müller (9 Mar 1684 - 6 Jun 1736) daughter of Johann Wendel Müller and Maria Elizabeth Neufang. Johann Adam Fuchs was born 13 Dec 1716 in Dörrenbach, Saarbrücken, and was confirmed in the Evangelische Kirche (Lutheran) in 1736. On 10 April 1742, he and his sister Elizabeth petitioned for manumission, and received it without right of return, to visit their brother Caspar in France (Alsace) and to then go on to Pennsylvania. Adam arrived in Philadelphia on the Loyal Judith 2 Sep 1743. When he swore allegiance to King George, his age was given, and transcribed as 20, when he was actually 26. He lived in Tulpehocken, Berks Co, PA, in 1752, and started calling himself Adam Fox. He received a warrant for land in what is now Shenandoah County, Virginia, in October, 1752, settling on Mill Creek. His will was probated in 1768. He married about 1750 Catherine, who died about 1786. She may (or may not) have been the sister or daughter of Mark Ilor (Eyler, Eilor). Their children were |

Mark Fox was born about 1761 in Shenandoah Co, Virginia. He married 5 June 1785 Ann Baughman. In late 1786 or early 1787 he and his brother Adam moved to Sevier County, Tennessee, where he had visited earlier. He was killed and scalped by Indians on the banks of Muddy Creek, Sevier County, June 21, 1787. One record says that Ann remarried 19 Jul 1797 David Shaw.
